“The affirmations of our actions speak louder than the ones we say out loud”

The more in tune I get with myself the more I realize that in all of my endeavors everything started on paper… Whether it was me moving out of my hometown, writing poetry, selling books, making music, or aiming to be a successful business.  Every thing started when I put my pen on paper and executed my plan/intentions until I received my desired outcome!

They say you should find something you can never get tired of doing and make a living out of it… And I can truly say that my passion is writing! I write every single day! Whether it’s a song, a poem, a business plan, or just notes from reading a book! I love it, it feels like a release! And I can stay up for hours creating it! But just like knowledge, your passion is only potential power! Anything that is not being exercised is powerless.

I have a plethora of other hobbies and endeavors that can make me money faster than what writing may. But those things hold no power to what I’m passionate about. And anything you are doing solely to make money will never make you rich.

And that’s my end goal! To be rich… in many ways; but monetarily speaking.

I always try to remember the law of exchange when I ask for things, whether it be from God or people/things. Especially when I’m stumped on why I’m not receiving the things I want sometimes…. And today the message was very clear.

I don’t get the things I want because I say I want them, yet don’t do the work or do contradicting things that confuse God on whether I want it or not. For instance as an artist, I say I want to be successful and respected for my work but I’m so self conscious about opinions that I keep it to myself… Affirming “they don’t deserve my art! they won’t respect it”. Which is not only blocking the blessing of receiving, but also affirming “I don’t want to be successful”. The affirmations of our actions speak louder than the ones we say out loud.

By not releasing my work I’m sabotaging the connections I could make by allowing my audience to grow to love my art. My first book was amazing to me at the time! And to others it still is but that’s only because they don’t know how much I have grown… My note to self is ACT like I want it and not just say I do, & don’t let anyone tell me I can’t have it…

Cause if you know, you know!
